Mr. Gerritsen provides assistance with:

  • defect investigations for Transport Canada Motor Vehicle Safety
  • collision investigations for Transport Canada Motor Vehicle Safety
  • traffic safety promotion for Transport Canada Motor Vehicle Safety

Mr. Gerritsen received his Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma in 2009 from SAIT Polytechnic and his Certified Engineering Technologist designation from ASET in 2017. While attending SAIT, Tyler won the 2009 Doing it Right This Time (DIRTT) Student Innovation award for his team creation of an eco-friendly and sustainable building product. He brings with him knowledge of many types of equipment and vehicles from his experience living and working on farms in Alberta.

Tyler joined Collision Analysis in August 2013. As a member of Collision Analysis' multi-disciplinary investigation team under contract to Transport Canada, he has investigated many defect complaints, performed numerous collision reconstructions and participated in the promotion of traffic safety.

He is a member of the Canadian Association of Technical Accident Investigators and Reconstructionists (CATAIR) and the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).
