Mr. Gerritsen received his Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma in 2009 from SAIT Polytechnic and his Certified Engineering Technologist designation from the Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta in 2017. While attending SAIT, Mr. Gerritsen won the 2009 Doing it Right This Time (DIRTT) Student Innovation award for his team creation of an eco-friendly and sustainable building product.

Mr. Gerritsen joined Collision Analysis in August 2013. He has been an integral part of the development and fabrication of test equipment used in the analysis of collisions and component failures.  As a member of the Collision Analysis team under contract to Transport Canada, he investigates defect complaints and performs collision reconstructions.

Mr. Gerritsen is qualified to download and interpret data from automotive event data recorders.  Mr. Gerritsen also has training and experience with video analyses. He is a member of SAE International and the Canadian Association of Technical Accident Investigators and Reconstructionists.
